E-Register

e-Register is the Estonian Central Register of Securities (henceforth the central register) electronic environment of services, which can be used by companies as well as private persons and through which the data about shares in the central register can be accessed.

To gain access to the environment, you need authorization – either using the ID-card or through the Internet bank.

Registration of company

According to Estonian Central Register of Securities Act all Estonian joint stock companies (aktsiaselts), including companies in the stage of establishment, have the obligation to register their shares in the central register administered by Estonian CSD.

Registration of shares in the central register by a private limited company (osaühing) is voluntary.

All NASDAQ OMX Nordic and Baltic exchanges will implement T+2 standard settlement on 6 October 2014

NASDAQ OMX exchanges in Copenhagen, Helsinki and Stockholm have previously announced that they will introduce a T+2 standard settlement cycle as of October 6, 2014. The current standard settlement cycle is three days.

Estonian securities market in 2011

Last year, the NASDAQ OMX Tallinn index OMXT fell by 23.9% to 531.17 points. Within the year, 83,697 transactions were made on the stock exchange, with turnover reaching EUR 187.4 million.

Kalle Viks, Head of Issuer Services of NASDAQ OMX Tallinn, said that although the number of transactions was at the expected level, the turnover of stock exchange transactions remained below EUR 200 million for the first time in the history of the stock exchange. According to Viks, the stock exchange increasingly contributes to educating investors and works towards increasing the number of foreign investors.

NASDAQ OMX acquires the Central Securities Depository of Lithuania

Tallinn/Riga/Vilnius, January 3, 2012

Today, NASDAQ OMX Group, Inc. (NASDAQ:NDAQ) announced the completion of its acquisition of the Central Securities Depository of Lithuania (CSDL), whereby NASDAQ OMX Helsinki Oy purchased the remaining 60 percent of the shares of the CSDL from the Bank of Lithuania.
